Summer birthday parties

Abbigayle's July birthday was celebrated with friends at the Wellness Center right after school got started. Mom was a little behind this year. The girls had a blast making a craft, eating cake, and swimming. Joel's August birthday party was celebrated the day before Abbigayle's and he had some buddies down to the pond for a treasure hunt, fishing, swimming, and supper around the campfire. What a fun weekend of parties! Mom was pooped after that!

First days of school

The big kids on their first day of school, and Abbigayle on her first day. She started Kindergarten a couple days after the big kids started school. Can't believe how fast they are growing!

Hobo Days

Here are a few pictures from Hobo Days. We went home to Britt just for the day to see family.

Emma is with her friend Ashley who also came home for the weekend. Ashley got hearing aids when she was little too. Then my brother Jack and his girlfriend, Patty, Joel, Claire and Bonnie. Joel had just stayed at their house for a week, so we were happy to see him! And some of the girl cousins.

Fair

The kids did great at the fair and state fair. We had fun going to the state fair and seeing their projects. They all got blues on all of their projects down there. We had fun with Grandpa and Grandma VandeLune and Great Grandma VandeLune and my parents and cousins Linda and Mariah!

Brett's Week in Iowa

We had a great week with Christian's buddy, Brett Purnell from Wichita, KS. He has come every summer since we moved here. He grew a foot and is growing into such a great kid. I'm proud of him! We drove him half way to his parents today. It was great to see Bob, Connie, and Ryan on drop off and pick up. Thanks for coming, Brett. We're going to miss you!
