Amy always cooks up some great Halloween food--it's a fun tradition.!!!

Halloween 2009

Maggie's godmother, Kayla, used to help me take the kids trick or treating when they were little. I can't believe how big the kids are getting and that Kayla is almost done with college and starting a family of her own. We were lucky to have such good babysitters!

Pumpkin Carving

We had a lot of fun carving pumpkins this year. We did it the night before Halloween. Our friends Aaron and Tyler came and in all we did 20 pumpkins. I couldn't get Christian, Tyler, or Joel to take any pictures, but they had fun carving pumpkins, too. My dad always made that such a fun thing when I was growing up. Love my parents! 1. Chris and Abbey 2. Aaron and Abbey 3. all 20 pumpkins 4. Emma and her 3 pumpkins

Goodbye Jake and Lilly

Today I sold my pet cows Jake and Lilly. It is hard to justify 1700 pound pets. They are so tame they were trying to swing their heads at my boys to get them to pet them, so I just didn't want them to get hurt. I have some pictures of them when I got them 3 years ago (they are twins!) and one from today. I stuck one in there of my horse, Fiddler. He just turned 25. I've had a lot of good years with all of them. Look how much Emma and Maggie have grown in 3 years!

Christian's Buck!

We are so proud of Christian's big 8 pointer he shot in youth season with his 20 g. It was a 70 yard shot! He loves to hunt. Now it is Joel's turn. He still has time!

Tyler Smith is Christian's little buddy that went hunting with his dad, Aaron , Chris and Christian the night Christian got his buck. What a good little friend. He was so happy for Christian!

Christian's Football

Christian and Joel both played football this year. Christian played receiver and safety. They only had 11 kids out, so there were no subs. They are getting great experiences. These pictures are of him catching a 30 yard pass at last nights game. Go # 85! (click on any of these pictures to make them larger) Joel played running back and linebacker mostly. He was coached by Adam Timmerman, retired offensive lineman for the Rams. His son is in Joel's grade, and Joel thought this was an awesome experience to be coached by Adam. He is a very nice Christian man , and taught them how to win and lose, and love the game of football. I unfortunately don't have any pictures that you could see him in that great. I had to bring the girls to a lot of the games, so I didn't have my camera out as much. Sorry, Joel! Go # 59! Great season boys! It makes me so PROUD to watch my children in their activities!

Soccer

Christian, Joel, Malorie , Maggie and Emma play soccer. It is so much fun to watch them. I have a few good pictures, but the games were at the same time, so it seemed like I ran from field to field trying to see everyone play.

1. Christian scoring a goal 2. Christian dribbling down the field 3. Malorie and Mack 4. Emma dribbling down the field 5. All 3 girls

The boys played on the same team and are on a winning team. They are undefeated. They have both scored several goals and their team is so fun to watch play. They play really well together. Emma and the twins are on the same team. They really have fun and Emma scored a goal! Soccer was on the list of things she shouldn't play due to her hearing disorder because a little boy hit his head on the soccer posts with the same problem and he went deaf. But Emma really wanted to play and we realize we can't keep her in a bubble. God is in control and has a plan for her so we let her play. It was the right decision, she is loving it.

Labor Day

We headed to Britt for the day for a picnic at the park. My brother, Kurt, came home from Indiana so we always try to get together when they can make it back. Here are some pictures from that fun day!
1. Grandpa and Granny with the grandkids. Everyone but Christian was there. He was camping with his youth group. 2. The 5 kids and their spouses. 3. 5 kids--Lori (my twin), Karen, Kurt, Bonnie and me 4. Joel and my godson Severin. (Kurt's son)
