Abbigayle's first music concert

Abbigayle had her first music concert. She looked so cute! She also has a big 'ol crush on her friend, Caela's , older brother Carson. She wanted me to take her picture with him! TOO CUTE! Pictures: Carson, Abbey, and Caela, Abbey singing, Abbey with her good friend, Lexi, and mom and Abbey before the concert. Abbey was very excited and very nervous.

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice with my friend Kelly and her little girl, Molly. It was a girls only trip and the little girls kept saying , "NO BOYS ALLOWED!" We had a great time--it was a fantastic show! Then we went out to eat and all the girls fell asleep on the way home. It was such a peaceful, quiet trip--very unusual for our car rides!

Grandpa Neil gets 4-H award from Grandson

Grandpa Neil was nominated by Christian to be honored at the 4-H awards banquet in Cherokee. Christian wrote a really great letter that even caused the lady that helped to present it to tear up. Grandpa had a few tears too. It was a really great surprise and my dad sure deserved it!

Emma turns 7!

Emma turned 7 and had a party at the wellness center. Loren and Terri (her godparents in Wichita) sent a big giga ball. It is a huge ball that the kids can get inside and other kids can roll them around. It was a hit at the party.

Chris gets a buck with his bow!

Chris shot a buck with his bow this weekend. He was pretty excited. The kids really loved seeing it too.

Grace turns 2! Halloween with the Letsches

The first two are pictures of Grace's birthday party. Karen lives in Britt which is a 2 hour drive, so we went to see them for the day for her birthday. The last picture is a picture of our friends Tom and Amy Letsche. The kids and I always spend Halloween with them every year. We eat supper and go trick or treating. They have twin girls age 4 Heidi and Julia.

Omaha Zoo with granny and grandpa!

We had a fun weekend in Omaha with Grandpa and Granny Gabrielson. We met old friends Heather Young and her kids there and met up with her brother Jason for supper at Spaghetti works. Grandpa won this trip at my fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. Every year I help plan this fundraiser to raise money for a cure for CF. My good friend Michelle died of this disease when she was 19. Emma Michelle is named after my friend Michelle. This year we raised $24,000--I appreciate my parents and sisters coming to help with the fundraiser (and Brad and Trish when they have helped too). Next year it is the first weekend in August, so come if you can. It's a great cause! Pictures: Zoo picture, Halloween picture (I messed up and got this picture in the wrong posting: the kids were:Joel, warewolf, Emma-Jasmine from Aladdin, Malorie -a safari guide, Maggie-a cowgirl, Abbigayle- a princess---I went as a triathlete (ha! )Taylor and Christian didn't go trick or treating this year ) Grandpa and Granny with the grandkids at the zoo.

Playing in the leaves

The kids and I spent a fun afternoon playing in the leaves when Chris was on call.

Carving and decorating pumpkins

Here are the pumpkins the kids and I decorated. We did it at out church. Joel won a prize for his.

More Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Pictures: my girls and cousins, Joel and Zella (Lori's youngest daughter), Travis, Chris (aka MN) and dad, Emma and I. We couldn't get a good picture of Lori and her family because we waited to long to take family pictures. Their girls were pretty tired.

Pumpkin Patch with the Gabrielson Family

We met my parents, Lori's family and Karen's family (my twin sister and my older sister) at the pumpkin patch in Fort Dodge. It was beautiful weather and we had a really fun day! Pictures: mom and dad Gabrielson, my family (minus Taylor -she didn't go but Joel brought a friend; Mitchell Brunsting), mom, Karen, Grace, Lori, Lisa, the twins, and Karen, MN, and Grace)

Joel running the football

Great picture of Joel Carrying the football. You can make the pictures bigger on this blog by just double clicking any picture you would like to see at a closer view.

Granny and Grandpa came to watch the girls play soccer and the boys play football. Christian was carrying the ball in this picture...he played wide receiver and middle linebacker. Maggie is with her godmother, Kayla who came to watch the game too , and she is dribbling the ball in the bottom picture.

Joel's Doe, the twins play soccer!

Joel shot a big doe this year in youth season. Unfortunately, I didn't get great pictures because I had my camera at the twins' soccer games that morning. He shot it his first morning out and had a football game at 10:30 that morning. This was a good thing for him, because he is not very patient. However, Christian is very patient and is still hunting a lot every week just waiting on the perfect buck. The soccer season was great. Malorie was an animal on the field and scored many goals every game. Maggie was fun to watch too and she scored several goals throughout the season. Malorie is in the first couple of pictures and Maggie is in the last picture

Christian's big fish and Joel's touchdown!

Joel made several touchdowns this year. He played running back on offense and linebacker on defense. In this touchdown, he ran 60 yards, 40 of which he only had one shoe. It got pulled off when the other team tried to tackle him. Christian caught the big walleye down at the river. He loves fishing!

Lisa's second triathlon!

I went to Belmond and did another triathlon. It was in reverse order: run, bike, swim. Friends, family, cousins came to cheer me on. It was so much fun! I hope to someday do one with my sons and my sisters (when they are all done having babies)

Abbigayle turns 5!

Abbigayle turned 5 in July. Time goes way too fast. We have a picture here with Wanda (one of her godmothers) and one of her unwrapping her presents. She's so cute!
